DIVORCE AND BEYOND
Divorce and Beyond is a proven program designed to help those who are struggling with issues brought on by divorce. The program addresses the emotional as well as real world problems that most divorced people experience.
The program is open to people of any faith denomination. Meetings are structured but conducted in an open, informal atmosphere. Understanding the personal nature of this situation, a vow of confidentiality is required from all who attend.
Initially focusing on subjects like anger and loss of self-esteem, it soon transitions to offering experienced advice as to how to best cope with the new realities that one must face. Ultimately it leads to the actions of healing, growth and moving forward with one's life.
The sessions take place in a support group setting led by facilitating team members who are not professional counselors but have been through the divorce process themselves. Participants can share with and learn from others who face similar circumstances. Attendees may range from just beginning the process to having been divorced for many years.
The group is currently meeting in person and through Zoom at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays. To find out more information, please contact Deacon Gregg Kahrs.
