“We cannot delude ourselves: by our mutual love and, in particular, by our concern for those in need we will be recognized as true followers of Christ. This will be the criterion by which the authenticity of our Eucharistic celebrations is judged” - Pope John Paul II
Outreach is not an option for us; it is a foundation of our faith. We must reach out in love and compassion to others, and be a voice in the community against poverty, violence and injustice.

Catholic Charities helps our community’s most vulnerable by taking on the effects of poverty and helping all those in crisis move toward a better life.
St. Francis of Assisi partners with Catholic Charities of Dallas by participating in the Food Partner Program. This includes having a standing food drive that will be achieved with the placement of a food cart in the Great Hall where donations will be continuously accepted. Donated items should be non-perishable and no larger than 16 oz. each.

SVdP provides financial and spiritual assistance to local poor and needy. Vincentians travel in pairs to visit clients in their homes or apartments. We assess our friend's needs and help in many different ways, and we are dependent upon volunteers and financial resources. Meets weekly at St. Francis, but members are not expected to attend each meeting. Many volunteers help behind the scenes.
