How do I become Catholic?

What is the Catholics Come Home program?
St. Francis invites Catholics who have been away from the Church to come home. What ever the reason may be that you have been away, we want to welcome you back to the community of faith through our Catholics Come Home program. Following every Christmas and Easter we will offer six Tuesday evening sessions covering topics of interest to Catholics considering returning to the active practice of their faith. We will discuss where the Church is today, we will review the sacraments, the Mass, discuss marriage and annulments, the sacrament of Reconciliation, and the foundations of our Catholic faith. How do I register at St. Francis of Assisi?
We welcome you to St. Francis of Assisi Parish. If you are new to our area please register with us, so that we may serve you better. We encourage you to register with the parish by using one of the following approaches:

Does St. Francis have a school?
No, we do not have an elementary school.
Yes, we do have a preschool, Caring Little Friends of St. Francis.
We also have Faith Formation (CCD, Religious Education) for Kindergarten-12th grade.
How do I get a copy of records (baptism, first communion, confirmation, etc.)?
Sacramental records for sacraments performed at St. Francis of Assisi are available by calling the Parish Office.
How do I request a Mass intention?
Offering Mass for a special Intention is a long standing tradition in the Catholic Church. It is usually considered that special graces are obtained for whom the Mass is said. Masses are offered for many reasons, for the souls in purgatory, in remembrance for someone who is deceased, or in honor of a birthday.
If you would like to have a Mass said for someone, contact the Receptionist in the Parish Office. She will help you with the dates and times that are available. Cards are then given to you so that you can mail them to whomever you choose to so they may also participate in the Mass.
How do I submit a prayer request?
Prayer requests can be submitted to the Prayer Chain, a group of individuals who have agreed to pray for the needs of others in our community and the world. Please visit the Prayer Chain web page for more information.

Prayers for the Sick during General Intercessions at Mass - Requests should be submitted by the end of the day on Thursday in order to be mentioned that weekend.
Prayers for the Deceased during General Intercessions at Mass - Names will be read for those who died in the previous week.

If you would prefer to make a donation or payment using your credit card, debit card, or bank account donation please click HERE. You have the option to set up a recurring or one time donation.
How can I make a donation to the Building Fund?
St. Francis offers several convenient ways to support the Building Project. Checks can be mailed to the church office or put in the offertory basket at Mass—please indicate Building Fund on the check. Our easy and secure program for electronic donations offers one-time or recurring gift options via credit card or bank draft.
You also have the option to donate by stocks, bonds & mutual funds, IRA’s, and planned gifts.
What does St. Francis do to provide a safe environment for our children and elderly?
We have a moral and legal responsibility for the well-being of children and the vulnerable. Our Safe Environment program creates a safe place for the children and vulnerable who come to St. Francis to participate in our activities. This program reduces the risk of abuse or neglect of any kind by evaluating each person’s suitability to work with our parish family. All volunteers who minister with our youth or vulnerable must be Safe Environment Cleared before volunteering.
