"The faithful who are ill are deprived of their rightful and accustomed place in the [E]ucharistic community. In bringing communion to them the minister of communion represents Christ and manifests faith and charity on behalf of the whole community toward those who cannot be present at the [E]ucharist. For the sick the reception of communion is not only a privilege but also a sign of support and concern shown by the Christian community for its members who are ill." (Pastoral Care of the Sick, no. 73)
Hospital Ministry
Our Parish Hospital Ministry provides communion and prayer to parishioners staying in area hospitals. For those facilities that have a volunteer program, all patients registered as "Catholic" at the time of admission are visited. Currently this includes Baylor Medical Centennial and Medical City Frisco, which are visited daily, as well as Baylor Rehab, which is visited on Sundays as well as one day during the week.
Since the other two area hospitals, Baylor Medical Center Frisco and Texas Health Resources Frisco don't currently have a volunteer program, visitations can only be done on an on-request basis as a visitor. To request a visit to this facility, please call the Parish Office at 972-712-2645.
Area hospitals outside the parish boundaries are serviced in a similar way by neighboring parishes. The table below has the parish name and contact information for each facility.
